This topic has probably been discussed before somewhere.
I have the bike on an Optimate Charger....as in permanently when I do not ride.
If I go away I just leave it on charge for weeks at times.
NOW....some people reckon you should not do that, some say it does not matter, some say charge it for two weeks and then take it off charge for a few days.
What is the best and WHY?
I have never run into any problems in the three years I have left my bike on charge permanently ( touch wood).
Bike still starts first try every time ( touch wood again )
I am not sure if there is a " longer term damage" that I am doing here to the battery, but so far it seems unlikely.
Any clever advice would be interesting.
