So I am servicing and prepping my EishPeeTwee for the GS Eco Challenge next week and look what I find!
The Unifilter is FAAARKED! Now I never clean foam filters in petrol and know how to look after them ... so what has caused this? I use water based degreaser and Motul aersol oil. Either the dealer did use petrol when they did a major insurance repair and it was not properly dry or put wrong oil on or WHAT? Maybe a cleaning solvent when they washed the bike (they use an agent next door). The foam on the area nearest the intake side is perished into hardened blackish globs and virtually eaten right through
