Hi All
Last night, after arriving at home, I forgot my key in the bike in the on position. End result, battery pap :BangHead:. Not completely though, the diagnostics came on and the whirring noises went whirrr, but just a click-click-click on trying to start the bike.
anyways, I tried to run start the bike. No go. Rear wheel just locks up.
question one, Is it possible to run/bump start an F800GS?
In the end I got hold of some jumper cables and after consulting the internet briefly, jump started the bike from my car battery. I read that you should NOT start the car, since that will fry your bike battery. I connected the car battery directly onto my bike battery, waited about a minute and the bike started first time.
Question two, Is this the right procedure? If not, what is the proper steps to take when jumping your bike from your car?
